Starbucks Cupcakes

Not to be left out of the cupcake trend insanity, Starbucks is following in the steps of Sprinkle's and the like by now serving cupcakes. That girl's boss brought these in for Valentine's Day and I gotta admit, they are pretty cute. However the frosting was super sweet (even for me) so a major scrapejob was in order. The cake part was really moist and fluffy, not bad at all. After eating this vanilla morsel I was inspired to make my mom some cupcakes for her birthday. Just as tasty and super adorable. This post comes along with a new link I'm introducing, http://www.starbucksgossip.typepad.com/. Any info about the inside track of America's favorite addiction is to be found here. I actually discovered it through a chowhound thread on "ghetto lattes". Seriously funny and informative? reading.

Now that girls sister must insist on telling you reaction to that of the Starbuck's Cupcake. At first when that girls sister saw these mountainous confections one must feel compelled to try one.

The frosting too sweet. I agree

The cake very dry. Maybe I had gotten an older cupcake.

Alas...it holds nothing up to your cupcakes that you made for Mom's b-day.

Thanks for keeping it real. And using real butter in your recipes

I've had those Starbucks cupcakes. Not bad but I agree the frosting is too sweet.
